Teach our children how to use their creativity as a superpower to uplift others! In partnership with the Museum of Wisconsin Art, KIC families will use their artistic talents to create placemats with seasonal textures and colors for Community Projects for Seniors’ meal delivery on Thanksgiving Day.

Activities

Families will create texture rubbings and stamping on a “collaborative” canvas. We will cut placemats from the final product designed by the children. These placemats will be delivered by Community Projects for Seniors with hot Thanksgiving meals to seniors living in independent housing. Families are also highly encouraged to explore the museum and enjoy gallery activities!

Impact

The placemats created by the children will provide some light to community members receiving a hot Thanksgiving meal – demonstrating that they are loved!
