First Stage will host KIC families for a special Go Dog Go! | Ve Perro ¡Ve! Book Party!

During the Book Party, First Stage teaching artists will lead KIC families through an interactive theater workshop inspired by the lively world of Go Dog Go! | Ve Perro ¡Ve!

Kids will use their imaginations to move, play, and experience firsthand how a favorite book can leap from the page to the stage.

The Book Party takes place between First Stage’s two performances that day, making it easy to add a show to your family’s afternoon! Families interested in attending Go Dog Go! / Ve Perro ¡Ve! can purchase tickets directly through First Stage. One of our very own KIC volunteers, Mia Raines, is performing as Yellow Dog in the El Pequeño Cast! You can use her 25% off discount code: MIADOG.

❤️ Help share books and the joy of reading with children throughout our community

Families interested in seeing the First Stage production can purchase tickets for either performance:

• • – 11 a.m. performance right before the Book Party
  • – 1 p.m. performance right after the Book Party

Can’t make it to the Book Party? You can still participate in the Go Books Go! Book Drive. You can drop off books outside the Goodman Theater in the Main Lobby during MYAC open hours from October 3rd-November 1st.

Impact

Through book donations and bringing a beloved story to life, children will discover that books can move, connect, inspire, and bring joy while helping children in our community experience the magic of having books of their own.

Young Changemakers’ Week

This project is just one of the events in Young Changemakers’ Week. Young Changemakers’ Week is designed to ignite a passion for service in our youngest community members. 

This is where Kids Impact Community began – collaborating with local nonprofits to develop age-appropriate and meaningful service opportunities for volunteers ages newborn – kindergarten and their families.
