Children will participate in a community service event through the Stone Soup Project, helping serve dinner to individuals and families facing food insecurity.

By directly participating in meal service, children learn the importance of helping others with dignity and kindness while gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges many people face in accessing reliable meals.

Activities

Under adult supervision, children will assist with age-appropriate tasks such as greeting guests, serving meals, distributing beverages or desserts, setting  up tables and chairs, and helping create a warm, welcoming environment.

Impact

Serving dinner to individuals facing food insecurity through the Stone Soup Project creates a meaningful opportunity for children to develop empathy, compassion, and a stronger sense of community responsibility.

Their involvement will foster values of generosity, gratitude, and service, while also helping build confidence and teamwork skills. Beyond providing nourishment, the experience will contribute to creating a welcoming and respectful environment for guests, reinforcing the idea that small acts of service can make a significant difference in the lives of others.
