Join us and The Mom Walk Collective Milwaukee for a heartwarming and sensory-rich experience designed for children to connect through nature, mindfulness, and the spirit of giving.
Activities
Parents and children will come together for a mindful afternoon at Mee-Kwon Park, exploring gratitude through nature and the senses. Activities include a gentle meditation, a sensory experience with clementines and nutmeg, and a five-senses scavenger hunt along the trails. The program concludes with a heartfelt service project where children create gratitude gift bags for someone special in their lives.
Impact
This program fosters meaningful connections for children on what it means to be grateful through nature-based mindfulness and acts of gratitude. By engaging the senses in a peaceful outdoor setting, participants experience emotional regulation, increased awareness, and a deeper appreciation for the people in their lives. The culminating service project empowers children to express thankfulness in a tangible way, promoting empathy, creativity, and community care.
