Junior Leader Skylar is a part of Girl Scout Troop 1375 and is organizing this drive to support Street Angels, an organization that helps those experiencing homelessness in Milwaukee County.
Activities
You and your child can collect items from around the house (make sure to clean them first) or buy new items that are needed. Consider putting your child in charge of recruiting family and friends to help compile items to donate.
You can also donate directly by purchasing through our Amazon Wishlist.
Items Needed:
- – Blankets
- – Adult hats, gloves, scarves
- – Winter jackets/coats (not currently accepting women’s jackets)
- – Winter boots
- – Hand/toe/foot warmers
- – Thermal tops and bottoms
- – Casual shirts/sweatshirts/hoodies (M–XXXL)
- – Sleeping bags
- – Tents (four person max) and tarps
- – Sleeping mats/plarn mats
- – NEW men’s adult socks
- – NEW men’s underwear (M–XL)
- – NEW women’s underwear (5–10)
- – Men’s jeans (30–38 waist)
- – Women’s leggings (S–XL)
- – Sweatpants (All sizes)
- – Backpacks (NO LUGGAGE)
- – Mini flashlights
- – Batteries (AA, AAA)
- – $5 McDonalds cards
- – Toilet paper
- – Chapstick
- – Body wipes
- – Tampons/Pads
- – Deodorant (travel-size)
- – Shampoo/Conditioner (travel-size)
- – Lotion (travel-size)
- – Shaving cream (travel-size)
- – Toothpaste (travel-size), toothbrushes, and floss

February 9-16
Drop off at KIC Leader homes in Wauwatosa (near the zoo) or Glendale (near Bayshore) anytime during the dates above. Look for the KIC bin by the front door. Specific addresses will be sent out via email after registration.

Cost: You can donate what you have to pass on, or buy new. It’s up to you!

Cancellations: We count on our registered volunteers to make these projects come to life. However, we understand illness and emergencies do come up so if you can no longer participate, please email [email protected] ASAP so we can fill your spot.

Junior Leader Program
KIC invites more youth leaders (ages 9-14) to create service opportunities to engage their peers and work on solutions in the community. If you know of a motivated youth who has an idea to make a positive contribution to our community, please have them learn more and complete a Junior Leader application.
