Hi! My name is Zoe and I’m leading the first-ever project for the Junior Leader program. Kids Impact Community (KIC) and Kinship Community Food Center (Kinship) need our help! Kinship’s shelves are currently very empty, making it hard for them to feed others. Kinship needs non-perishable food items and hygiene supplies for those who cannot afford them themselves.

Activities

Families will collect and/or donate food and hygiene items to Kinship. Families should shop for their items based on the first letter of their last name. For example, the Cizauskas Family would shop for items that begin with the letter “C”—such as canned carrots. Families will then take their collected items to a local dropoff location to be taken to Kinship.

Impact

Kids will learn that they are able to help others while having fun looking for items that start with the same letter as their last name! Those who rely on Kinship will benefit from having more supplies.

When & Where

The collection will take place during the entire month of May. Dropoff location addresses will be sent after registration. The locations will be located in Cedarburg, Franklin, Glendale, Shorewood, Sussex, Waukesha, and Whitefish Bay. Items will be taken to Kinship on June 1.
