Join us for our Monthly Taco Night at St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP)! KIC families will pack up and distribute 150 taco dinners for adult and child guests of SVDP – Harambee at All Peoples Church. The SVDP meal program provides meals throughout the year. Dinners are provided by various charitable organizations five nights a week.
Activities
Participants will prepare the dining room and serve food to individuals living with food insecurity. Specific activities include the following:
- Stuff utensils and napkin bags
- Set out taco ingredients, condiments, rice, beans, fruit, and cookies.
- Prepare to-go containers with a full meal
- Hand out the meals to dinner guests
- Basic clean-up post-meal service (sweeping, wiping tables, etc.
Hairnets, gloves, and aprons are required and provided at the event. If your family would like to bring their own aprons and baseball caps, you are welcome to do that. Face coverings are optional at this time.
Impact
Guests of the St. Vincent de Paul Meal Program have the opportunity to enjoy a hearty and healthy meal. Our children will gain a new perspective on food insecurity while learning that they can make a difference.

Participant Cap: 8 participants
Age: Age 5 and up
Cost: Free. Please consider a donation to KIC to help cover the cost of the food.
Materials: Hairnets, gloves, and aprons are required and provided at the event. If your family would like to bring their own aprons and baseball caps, you are welcome to do that. Face coverings are optional at this time.
