Eras Senior Network has reached out for the eighth year in a row asking for our help this fall! They are in need of volunteers to help with preparing yards for winter. Do this project on your own or gather your friends and family to make a difference in the lives of local seniors. It is a one-time visit and would not need to be done on a specific day but whenever is convenient for you and the client.
Activities
We will be doing yard work that may include raking, trimming bushes, and/or pulling weeds. We understand the attention of each child is different – so rest breaks are encouraged to make this a meaningful but FUN time! Remember, the yard work tasks do not need to be completed in one day (but easily can be!). We will connect you with a senior resident and you will communicate with them about days/times that work best for you to visit.
Purpose
For your children to get the opportunity to see their hard work better a member of the community. (Enjoying the beautiful fall weather and allowing the kids to burn off extra energy will be a bonus, as well!)
Impact
We hope that all of the children participating will see that hard work pays off and that they too can have an impact on the lives of their Milwaukee community members.

Exact addresses in Milwaukee County will be given once registration is complete for the sake of confidentiality. We will make every attempt to assign you a home close to your residence. We will give you a phone number to directly contact the homeowner prior to your visit.
