 Many kids go trick-or-treating without being able to wear a costume. Let’s make sure Our Next Generation (ONG) kids are ready to celebrate in style! Have your child set up and run a Halloween Costume Pop-Up Shop at ONG this October.

Activities

When you arrive, KIC volunteers will spend the first 30 minutes setting up the pop-up shops. We’ll put on some spooky music and organize the costumes by size and type. Next, ONG kids will come through in small groups to pick their favorite costumes. KIC kids will help shoppers find a costume and then bag it up adding a name label and Happy Halloween note.

Impact

Children who attend ONG will have the opportunity to pick out a Halloween costume and engage in a fun holiday with a new-to-them costume.

Children from KIC will learn how they have the capability of spreading love by supporting other kids their age.

Age: 5+

Cost: Free

Materials: If you would like to bring a costume for ages 7+ to donate, feel free!

Cancellations: We count on our registered volunteers to make these projects come to life. However, we understand illness and emergencies do come up so if you can no longer participate, please email erinlemoine@kicmke.org ASAP so we can fill your spot.

Our Next Generation’s mission is to serve the children of their neighborhood with programs focused on improving educational outcomes and life skills. Located in one of Milwaukee’s poorest neighborhoods, their organization provides after-school and summer academic enrichment and personal development programs for more than 1,000 youth and their families.
