Are you looking for an independent family project to engage your family each month? We have a perfect opportunity for you. KIC is partnering with Panera-Glendale in their End of Day Dough-nation Program. KIC families will reclaim surplus baked goods from Panera to distribute to community members living with food insecurity.
We are seeking volunteers to pick up and deliver baked goods one Sunday or Monday morning per month (e.g. 1st Monday of the month, 3rd Sunday of the month) from Panera-Glendale and deliver them to one of two locations:
1. The Gathering’s executive director’s home in the Sherman Park neighborhood (Sundays)
2. Stormonth School in Fox Point, WI for LX Club (Mondays)
We will send an email detailing the pick-up and drop-off procedures to interested families. We ask for a four-month commitment to this project (September, October, November, December)
Children will serve with their families to re-purpose unsold bakery items to provide sustenance to friends living with food insecurity.

Drop-Off Locations: Families will deliver the baked goods to The Gathering’s executive director’s home in the Sherman Park neighborhood (Sundays) or to Stormonth warming house for senior Bingo (Mondays). We will send an email detailing the pick-up and drop-off procedures to interested families.
