In Wisconsin, 1 in 10 households are struggling with hunger, impacting people of all ages. Food pantries across Wisconsin are still reporting increased demand alongside lower-stocked shelves as food prices continue to remain high.
Just One More Ministry, located in Glendale, is an organization that rescues excess food from area restaurants, food suppliers, and caterers, and redistributes it to more than 75 shelters, food pantries, and community members in need. KIC families regularly pack lunches at home for Just One More Ministry, and this is a great opportunity to invite your kids into the building to see another aspect of their work.
Activities
The pantry is set up like a mini supermarket. You and your children will work to assemble outreach bags, grabbing the necessary items from the pantry and large walk-in refrigerators.
Impact
For children to grow in awareness of their capability to help others when their community needs it most.
