Have extra Halloween candy that needs a good home? Junior Leader Lincoln is leading his Cub Scout Pack 115 in collecting individually wrapped candy (or other individually wrapped snacks) to make into candy bags that will be distributed to StreetLife Communities, an organization that supports people experiencing homelessness in Milwaukee County.

This project was designed and planned by Junior Leader Lincoln, age 10.

Activities

Go through your child’s Halloween candy together and donate any extra individually wrapped candy or snacks.

Impact

Explore empathy with your child as they share some sweet treats to those in our community currently experiencing homelessness.

When & Where

Drop off your donations Nov. 1-9

Drop-off locations will be in Germantown, Glendale, New Berlin, Oak Creek and Wauwatosa. Bins will be located by the front doors of each drop off location. Specific addresses will be sent out via email to those that registered at the end of October.

Our Partner

Our partner is StreetLife Communities, a Milwaukee nonprofit that engages in street outreach to provide essential medical care, survival resources, and hope to Milwaukee’s unhoused community.

Junior Leader Program

KIC invites more youth leaders (ages 9-14) to create service opportunities to engage their peers and work on solutions in the community. If you know of a motivated youth who has an idea to make a positive contribution to our community, please have them learn more and complete a Junior Leader application.
