We LOVE our teachers! September is a perfect time to honor educators. That is why KIC is collaborating with the Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA) to design 40 bags to be filled with school supplies for educators for the upcoming school year.
MOWA will host an Educator Open House on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. During this event, MOWA will offer a “buffet” of school supplies to the first 40 attending educators. These 40 educators will receive the personally designed bags by KIC kids!
Activities
Your family will pick up four “blank bags” from a Whitefish Bay location during the first two weeks of September. Your child or children will decorate the bags with positive thank you messages or cute drawings using markers/crayons/pencils from your own home.
Impact
By decorating these bags, kids will be able to thank and honor our educators. These bags will set up educators for a successful start to the year. The personal touch by the children will bring joy, love, and appreciation!
When & Where
This is an at-home activity.
Pick-up of the blank bags can occur any day between Sept. 3 and 13 from 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. (the address will be sent in an email after registration). Once your bags are decorated, you can return them to the same location by Monday, Sept. 23. Lynn (project leader) can assist with the drop-off or pick-up of bags if needed.
