Earth Day: Gardening for Good

REGISTER HERE

Enjoy a fun, hands-on experience with your kids this Earth Day! Kinship Community Food Center (Kinship) provides fresh and local food to those in need through their Hoop Houses. The food goes directly to Kinship and is then donated to families throughout our area.

Activities

Kids and families will help prepare Hoop Houses for the gardening season! Activities may include shoveling, moving dirt, and all things related to general maintenance of the site.

Purpose

Teach our kids about food insecurity in our local community and how they can help. Plus a little gardening and physical activity is healthy too!

When & Where

Saturday, April 20 from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

The “hoop houses” are located at the Maglio Tomato Building, 4287 N Port Washington Road, Milwaukee, WI 53212. Please park in the lot on the North side of the building and walk through the fence to the big “hoop houses.”
