Just One More Ministry (JOMM), located in Glendale, is an organization that rescues excess food from area restaurants, food suppliers, and caterers and repackages it for shelters, food pantries, and community members in need. Inflation and rising grocery prices continue to disrupt the organization’s regular streams of food, and they are in need of additional support through packed bagged lunches. These lunches are easy to distribute and are handed out as quickly as they are received. This is a helpful dinner option for kids if their housing lacks the appliances needed to heat and prepare food.

Activities

We are excited to host an IN-PERSON lunch pack on President’s Day!

Join other families to assemble 200+ lunches. We will begin with a story about food insecurity, participants can color inspirational care cards, make sandwiches, and pack lunches. KIC will deliver all the packed lunches to JOMM that afternoon.

Impact

Kids will gain awareness and understanding of how they can help their community in need and have fun along the way!

Registration Information

Participants: 10 families

Cost: Dependent on what families buy for the bagged lunch supplies (it costs KIC $25 to make 20 lunches). A sign-up genius will go out to participants after registration.
