We will be partnering with the Bronzeville Foundation to prepare and serve breakfast to those in need at the Hope Center in Waukesha. We anticipate being able to serve around 30 people. Hope Center guests include those living with housing insecurity, families trying to stretch their budget and older adults living on a fixed income. In recognizing the dignity of each individual, this Outreach Meal Program works to reduce the risks of poverty by helping people meet basic needs.

Activities

We will cook a simple breakfast within a provided kitchen at the Hope Center. Kids will get to cut up fruit, scramble eggs, cook bacon, prepare drinks and set up the meal serving stations. After the meal is prepared, we will have the opportunity to serve the meal to the Hope Center guests.

Impact

Kids will learn how to work together to prepare a meal, and they will see that they are capable of providing food and cheer to families in need during the holiday season.
