Celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. as we guide our children to share compassion and respect the dignity of one another. Through service and art, let’s provide our children with the opportunity to do what they were born to do: LOVE!

Event #1:
January 18, 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Kids Impact Community: MLK Virtual National Day of Service Event (all ages)

Join KIC for a virtual all-ages celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day through an engaging story time with a special guest reader, music and movement breaks, an on-the-spot service project and community art activity.

Event #2:
January 18, 4-5 p.m.

Kids Impact Community: Fill a Make Your House a Home Basket for ACTS Housing (K5+)

Join Kids Impact Community for a kid-led celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day through a virtual event and corresponding service project. With your support, your children will engage neighbors, friends and family to fill a Make Your House a Home Basket for ACTS Housing with the painting, gardening and other necessities a family needs to make their very first house a home. This is a great opportunity for our kids to learn they have the capability of making a difference in our community, while spreading Dr. King’s message of equality and love!

Event #3:
January 19, 4-5 p.m.

Kids Impact Community: Social Justice Story Time #1 - Racial Justice and Taking Action

Join Rona Wolfe, kindergarten teacher and anti-bias educator, for a Social Justice Story Time. Through stories Rona will lead kid-friendly discussions about racial justice and address how kids can take big actions in small ways. Pick up an art kit and create your piece of our community art installation. Attend one KIC story time or join us for both! We will read different books at each session.

Event #4:
