Spring Clean Up for Seniors 2021

April 1 - May 31

This will be our sixth year participating with the Eras Senior Network for yard clean up events. In years past, we jointly met on Make a Difference Day to do yard work at seniors' homes. However, this spring we will assign one volunteer family to one senior's home (think "adopt-a-grandfriend's yard"). Tie Blanket Comfort Kits for Great Lakes Hospice

Kids Impact Community is working with Great Lakes Hospice to create Comfort Blankets for their patients. Spring Garden Window Art for Milwaukee Senior Centers

Milwaukee County boasts five Senior Centers whose windows are looking very drab. We need 30 kids to complete a variety of joyful spring garden art to bring some sunshine to our neighbors age 50 and better. Putting Trash to Work – Sleeping Mats for the Homeless

Keep plastic grocery bags out of the landfill by converting them into a plastic yarn called “plarn” used by Mercy Mats of West Allis to crochet cushy sleeping mats, which will be distributed by Repairers of the Breach. Garden Homes Food Pantry Bag Pack
