SUMMARY:Women's Center Dinner Service
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nJoin us in preparing and serving a hot dinner to
  women and their children (about 70 total) staying at the Women’s Center
  Shelter. Founded in 1980\, the Milwaukee Women’s Center provides compre
 hensive services and treatment for women\, men\, and children whose lives 
 have been affected by domestic violence\, addiction\, mental health issues
 \, homelessness\, and poverty.\nActivities\nOur volunteer group of childre
 n and caregivers will serve dinner to about 50 women and their children st
 aying at the shelter. KIC will be bringing food to prepare on-site. You ca
 n sign up to bring ingredients that are needed. There is a kitchen at the 
 center where we will prep the meal service. Then we will serve dinner to t
 he women and their children. Following the meal\, we will clean up\, endin
 g promptly at 7:00 PM.\nImpact\nKids and their caregivers will brighten th
 e evening of families staying at the shelter. Kids will see that serving o
 thers can be fun and that they are capable of making a difference.\nWhen &
 amp\; Where\nThursday\, January 30 from 5:15-7 p.m. (Dinner service begins
  at 6 p.m.)\n\nMilwaukee Women’s Center Shelter of Community Advocates i
 s in the Burnham Park Neighborhood (for the safety of the residents\, addr
 esses will be provided after sign-up).\nRegistration Information\nParticip
 ant Cap: 6 volunteers\n\nAge: All ages are welcome to help!\n\nCost: Free\
 n\nMaterials: Please wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes. Plast
 ic gloves and hairnets will be provided upon arrival.\n\nQuestions: Email
