DESCRIPTION:REGISTER NOW\nWork with your child at the Kinship Community Foo
 d Center (formerly called Riverwest Food Pantry) – an organization focus
 ed on coming together around food to relieve hunger\, improve lives and gr
 ow community well-being. While their name has changed\, their mission is s
 till the same! Kinship empowers residents to create nourishment\, belongin
 g and prosperity in low-income communities through the power of food.\nAct
 ivities\nYou and your child will assist shoppers with registration and gro
 cery selection\, help shoppers carry bags\, serve snacks and share food wi
 th shoppers\, and clean up. Hands-on orientation and assignments given upo
 n arrival.\nThe shelves at Kinship are constantly in need of restocking. P
 lease consider bringing a donation of non-perishable food items or hygiene
  products with you to help fill their shelves!  We will also be collectin
 g reusable bags to donate to the pantry. Their goal is to eliminate as man
 y plastic shopping bags as possible. If you have extra reusable bags at ho
 me\, please consider bringing some with you to donate!\n\nImpact\nHelp to 
 eliminate food insecurity in Milwaukee and dissolve barriers of division a
 s the community comes together at a common table. Your child will be immer
 sed in an environment where they will help others and also be mentored in 
 acts of dignity and grace by those very same people. Kinship Community Foo
 d Center embodies their motto: In a community of generosity everyone gives
  and everyone receives!\nWhen &amp\; Where\nTuesday\, Feb. 17 from 3:30-6 
 p.m.\nSt. Casimir’s Parish Hall\n924 E. Clarke St\, Milwaukee\nThe hall 
 is located on the basement level of the school building behind Our Lady of
  Divine Providence Parish/St. Casimir. Volunteer entrance doors are on the
  west side of the building in the alley between the church and the school.
  On Saturday mornings we ask that volunteers find street parking (on Clark
 e or Weil) as the lot is reserved for shoppers.\n\nRegistration Informatio
 n\nParticipant Cap: 10 volunteers\n\nAge: Ages 6+ strongly recommended. If
  you have a child that is younger\, please reach out to Lizzy at lizzy@kic
 mke.org prior to signing up to discuss the possibility of bringing them. W
 e also recommend at least one parent/guardian for every 2 children under t
 he age of 10 years.\n\nMaterials:Please dress casually with closed-toe sho
 es and keep all your valuables at home. Wear your Kids Impact Community sh
 irt if you have one!\n\nCost: Free. Kinship Community Food Center does ac
 cept non-perishable food donations if your family would like to bring some
