DESCRIPTION:REGISTER NOW\nWork with your child at the Kinship Community Foo
 d Center (formerly called Riverwest Food Pantry) – an organization focus
 ed on coming together around food to relieve hunger\, improve lives\, and 
 grow community well-being. While their name has changed\, their mission is
  still the same! Your child will be immersed in an environment where they 
 will experience their capabilities to help others and also be mentored in 
 acts of dignity and grace by those very same people. The Kinship Community
  Food Center embodies their motto: In a community of generosity everyone g
 ives and everyone receives.\nActivities\nYou and your child will assist sh
 oppers with registration and grocery selection\, help shoppers carry bags\
 , serve snacks to shoppers\, help in the kid's corner\, and clean up. Hand
 s-on orientation and assignments are given upon arrival.\nWe will also be 
 collecting reusable bags to donate to the pantry. Their goal is to elimina
 te as many plastic shopping bags as possible. If you have extra reusable b
 ags at home\, please consider bringing some with you to donate!\n\nPurpose
 \nHelp to eliminate food insecurity in Milwaukee.\nImpact\nKids will gain 
 awareness and understanding of how they can help their community in need a
 nd have fun along the way!\nWhen &amp\; Where\nTuesday\, Nov. 14 from 3:30
 -6 p.m.\nSt. Casimir’s Parish Hall\n924 E. Clarke St.\nThe hall is locat
 ed on the basement level of the school building behind Our Lady of Divine 
 Providence Parish/St. Casimir. Volunteer entrance doors are on the west si
 de of the building in the alley between the church and the school. On Satu
 rday mornings we ask that volunteers find street parking (on Clarke or Wei
 l) as the lot is reserved for shoppers.\nCan't make the November event? Se
 rve pantry guests with us on Dec. 16. KIC has also partnered with Kinship 
 Community Food Center to collect donations to create Thanksgiving Baking K
 its for families to cook their own healthy\, traditional Thanksgiving meal
 s. Drop off donations by Nov. 18.\n\nRegistration Information\nParticipant
  Cap: 3-4 families or 10 volunteers\n\nAge: 6 years and older\n\nAttire: P
 lease dress casually in closed-toe shoes and keep all your valuables at ho
 me. Wear your Kids Impact Community shirt if you have one. Masks are optio
 nal.\n\nCost: Free. Kinship Community Food Center does accept non-perisha
 ble food donations if your family would like to bring something to donate.
