While their name has changed\, their mission is still the same! Kinship empowers residents to create nourishment\, belong ing\, and prosperity in low-income communities through the power of food.\ nActivities\nYou and your child will assist shoppers with registration and grocery selection\, help shoppers carry bags\, serve snacks\, share food with shoppers\, and clean up. Hands-on orientation and assignments are giv en upon arrival.\nWe will also be collecting reusable bags to donate to th e pantry. Their goal is to eliminate as many plastic shopping bags as poss ible. If you have extra reusable bags at home\, please consider bringing s ome with you to donate!\n\nImpact\nHelp to eliminate food insecurity in Mi lwaukee and dissolve barriers of division as the community comes together at a common table. Your child will be immersed in an environment where the y will experience their capabilities to help others and also be mentored i n acts of dignity and grace by those very same people. Clarke St.\nThe hall is locate d on the basement level of the school building behind Our Lady of Divine P rovidence Parish/St. Casimir. Volunteer entrance doors are on the west sid e of the building in the alley between the church and the school. On Tuesd ay afternoons we ask that volunteers find street parking (on Clarke or Wei l) as the lot is reserved for shoppers.\n\nRegistration Information\nParti cipant Cap: 10 volunteers\n\nAge: 6 years and older\n\nAttire: Please dres s casually with closed-toe shoes and keep all your valuables at home. Wear your Kids Impact Community shirt if you have one.\n\nCost: Free.
