SUMMARY:Pack Hygiene Kits for Stone Soup Project
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE \nChildren will pack hygiene kits for individuals
in the Waukesha Community who are facing homelessness. \nActivities\nWe w
ill begin with an interactive storytime and songs. During this time\, we w
ill read an age-appropriate book that introduces the topic of homelessness
and helps children understand the experiences of individuals facing housi
ng insecurity. Next\, participants will decorate inspirational notecards t
o include in hygiene kits. These cards will contain encouraging messages m
eant to uplift individuals who receive the kits. \nAfterward\, we will wor
k together in an assembly line to pack bags with travel-size toiletries\,
snacks\, and basic first aid supplies. These hygiene kits will be distribu
ted to individuals during dinner service at the Stone Soup Project\, suppo
 rting community members experiencing homelessness.\n\nImpact\nParticipatin
g in this service activity helps volunteers better understand the challeng
es faced by individuals experiencing homelessness while also showing how s
mall acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. Through storytime
and discussion\, participants build empathy and awareness about homelessne
ss in an age-appropriate way. Creating inspirational notecards and assembl
ing hygiene kits allows volunteers to contribute directly to meeting basic
needs while also offering encouragement and dignity to those receiving th
e items. Working together to prepare the kits for distribution through the
Stone Soup Project reinforces the importance of community support\, compa
 ssion\, and teamwork. \n\nWhen &amp\; Where\nFriday\, August 14 from 10:15
