These lunches are easy to distribute and are handed out as quickly as they are received . This is a helpful dinner option for kids if their housing lacks the appl iances needed to heat and prepare food.\n\nActivities\nYour family will as semble 20 lunches. Your family/group will pack a piece of fruit\, an inspi rational care card\, and an additional treat or snack (optional) in a pape r bag. Separately\, your group will make the sandwiches (peanut butter and jelly or meat and cheese with no condiments)\, wrap them in a plastic san dwich bag\, and repack them in the bread bag.\nPurpose\nKids will assist r esidents throughout the Greater Milwaukee community struggling with food i nsecurity.\nImpact\nKids will gain awareness and understanding of how they can help their community in need and have fun along the way!\nWhen &\; Where\nYour family will complete this project in your own home following food safety guidelines.\n\nDrop off the packed lunches outside a KIC famil y home (Bayside/Whitefish Bay/southside of Milwaukee/west side of Milwauke e - specific addresses will be provided after sign-up.) between 1-8 p.m. o n Sunday\, July 23. You must confirm that all statemen ts below are true for you and anyone in your household where lunches will be packed. (You will sign this waiver on the next screen).\n\n \nNo one i n my family has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 2 weeks\, nor is anyone currently under quarantine.\n\n \nNo one in my family experienced any symptoms of COVID-19 (fever\, cough\, shortness of breath) in the pas t 2 weeks.\n\n \nNo one in my family has come into contact with anyone te sting positive for COVID-19 in the past 2 weeks.\n\n \nNo one in my famil y has\, to my knowledge\, been exposed to or come into contact with someon e with or presumed to have COVID-19 in the past 2 weeks.\n\n \nWe have fo llowed CDC guidelines to avoid infection (wear masks\, stay home as much a s possible\, keep 6 feet away from others\, and wash hands frequently). \ n\n\nIn order to assure food safety in preparing food for the community in your own home\, all volunteers must agree to:\n1) Follow CDC guidelines t o fully disinfect the surface prior to meal preparation\n2) Follow the Wis consin Department of Agriculture\, Trade and Consumer Protection guideline s on washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds\n3) Follow the WI DATCP rules on no bare hand contact with ready-to-eat foods ie. wea r gloves or use tongs. When using disposable gloves\, refer to these guide lines.\n4) To ensure health and safety in preparing food for people outsid e of our own families\, we also ask that everyone two years of age and old er wear a cloth face covering while preparing the sandwiches. \nFor KIC p romotion purposes\, KIC will be requesting submission of photographs of pa rticipants to share on our social media sites. No names or any other ident ifying information will be shared if the photograph is used\, unless reque sted.
