SUMMARY:Junior Leader Volunteers at MOWA
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nWe are in need of junior leaders ages 9-13 to he
 lp assist attendees at a variety of art project stations at the Museum of 
 Wisconsin Art on May 10. If your child is ready for a little extra respons
 ibility\, this is the perfect experience for them!\nActivities\nJunior Lea
 ders will assist attendees at the Creating Art Projects for Children in Fo
 ster Care event at the different art project stations. The projects create
 d at these stations will be distributed to children in foster care. Junior
  leaders will also be able to explore the museum before or after their shi
 ft. We are asking that a parent or caregiver accompany them. \n\nJunior L
 eaders will be assigned to one of the following craft stations:\n\n 	\n\n 
 	- Birthday Crowns: Attendees will have the opportunity to make a crown to
  be included in Birthday Buddy Bags and make a crown for themselves to tak
 e home.\n 	- Calming Art Kits: Attendees will help paint large pieces of p
 aper to create interesting patterns and textures to collage with. They wil
 l then be cut into a variety of shapes. All of the elements will be put in
 to a Ziploc bag along with an instruction/idea sheet so recipients underst
 and the purpose of the activity kit. The final product will be a kit\, inc
 luding a small journal and materials needed to create a collage. These kit
 s will give foster kids something quiet to focus on as they work through p
 rocessing their changing situation.\n 	- Chalkboard Room Signs: We all fil
 l our living spaces with our favorite things and mementos - it is what mak
 es a house a home. Attendees will decorate chalkboard room signs. These ro
 om signs will enable the kids to personalize their space and help give the
 m a sense of belonging. Whether they hang it on a bedroom door or above th
 eir bed\, it will help them establish their space as their own. The kit wi
 ll include a decorated chalkboard room sign\, chalk\, and a 3m hook for ha
 nging.\n\n\n\n\nImpact\nKids will gain confidence\, practice responsibilit
 y\, and work collaboratively with others to solve problems as they grow th
 eir leadership skills\nWhen &amp\; Where\nSaturday\, May 10 (choose one ti
