SUMMARY:Intergenerational Service & Play: Gratitude Garlands
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nOur playgroup will provide an opportunity for ch
 ildren\, parents\, and Hamilton House assisted living residents to interac
 t and play with each other in a relaxed\, friendly\, playful\, organized e
 nvironment. During the playgroup time\, they will have a blast creating ga
 rland that will bring joy and comfort to residents this holiday season.\n\
 nActivities\nWe will open with a hello song to break the ice and introduce
  ourselves to the group. We will then spend time together getting craetive
  during craft time. As a group\, we will create "Gratitude Garlands" to di
 splay in the common areas at Hamilton House. Kids and adults will write or
  draw what they’re thankful for on paper leaves. We will string them tog
 ether and hang them in the common areas of the facility. At the end of our
  time together we will sing our clean up song to tidy the space before wra
 pping up our time and saying goodbye.\n\nImpact\nIntergenerational playgro
 ups give children a true inter-generational experience while learning pati
 ence\, kindness\, and how to make new friends. Children will develop aware
 ness of and relationships with members of the community they would otherwi
 se not meet.\nOur friends at Hamilton House benefit tremendously from the 
 interaction with our children. Residents in the memory care unit of Hamilt
 on House will have a chance to be around our energetic and humorous little
 s and offer their love and gentle care for them. All the participants in t
 his group will get to use their unique perspectives to our gratitude discu

  group is free to attend\, but you’re welcome to make a donation to supp

 amilton House is a beautiful residential community in the heart of Cedarbu
 rg directly across from the local middle school. They provide apartments d
 esigned for independent and assisted living\, as well as memory care optio
 ns. We are partnering specifically with the residents in the memory care u
