SUMMARY:Intergenerational Playgroups - Saint John's on the Lake
DESCRIPTION:After a break due to Covid\, the intergenerational groups have 
 returned! We are finally back to reuniting your children and the friends f
 rom St. John's Senior Living Community in a true intergenerational experie
 nce. These monthly playgroups follow simple structured play for 45 minutes
 . This is a great chance for your little one to get out and meet new kids 
 and brighten the day of seniors. By joining these playgroups you and your 
 children will learn patience\, kindness\, and the chance to make new frien
 ds. Our friends at Saint John's benefit tremendously from the interaction 
 with our children.\nActivities\nAt each playgroup\, we follow the same str
 ucture to help children and residents alike become familiar and comfortabl
 e in the playgroup. We begin with a hello song followed by a book\, a craf
 t and an activity. If time permits\, we will have free play followed by ou
 r goodbye song. We always have a new fun theme each month!\n\nPurpose\nTo 
 provide an opportunity for children\, caregivers\, and older adults to int
 eract and play in a relaxed\, friendly\, and organized environment.\n\nImp
 act\nChildren will develop awareness of and relationships with members of 
 the community they would otherwise not meet. Residents in the assisted liv
 ing facility will have a chance to be around our energetic and humorous cu
 tie-pies and offer their love and gentle care for them.\n\nWhen and Where\
 nThursday\, April 20 from 11-11:45 a.m.\n\nWe are encouraging participant
 s to sign up for an entire Spring session if possible. If there are only a
  few dates you can make\, please let us know. Signing up for a session hel
 ps the residents see familiar faces and helps to ensure participation in o

 Free\nAttire: Have your kids dress for play. We play with paint\, bubbles\
 , markers and more! \nMask Policy: Saint John’s asks that people 2 years
  old and older wear masks.  They completely understand that this can be c
 hallenging with toddlers\, so they ask that the effort just be made. If an
 yone is feeling ill (even cold symptoms) we ask that you refrain from visi
