SUMMARY:Intergenerational Playgroups at Saint John's on the Lake
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nBring your little one(s) to Saint John’s on th
 e Lake for a special intergenerational experience where children and older
  adults can play\, learn and connect.\nOur monthly 45-minute playgroups of
 fer a welcoming\, relaxed environment for young children to meet new frien
 ds while brightening the day of our grandfriends at Saint John’s. Throug
 h simple\, engaging activities\, children have the opportunity to learn pa
 tience and respect for older adults\, how joy is contagious\, and to build
  social skills while interacting with people of different ages and abiliti
 es.\nThe relationships that grow through these playgroups make this experi
 ence so meaningful. By participating regularly\, children and residents ha
 ve the chance to become familiar with one another and look forward to seei
 ng each other each month. Our grandfriends truly delight in the smiles and
  energy our children bring from just being themselves.\n\nActivities\nEach
  playgroup follows a familiar structure to help both children and resident
 s feel comfortable and engaged.\nWe begin with a hello song\, followed by:
 \n\n\n 	\n\n 	- Story\n 	- Simple craft\n 	- Themed activity\n 	- Free pla
 y\n 	- Goodbye song\n\n\n\nEach month will feature a fun new theme and act
 ivities designed to encourage interaction between children\, caregivers\, 
 and Saint John’s residents.\n\nImpact\nIntergenerational playgroups boos
 t the social and emotional health for everyone involved by fostering empat
 hy in children\, reducing isolation in seniors\, and strengthening a sense
  of belonging\, purpose\, and community spirit.\n\nWhen &amp\; Where\nJoin
  us every month through the end of the year from 10-10:45 a.m.\n\n 	\n\n

 ber 19\n 	- Thursday\, December 17\n\n\n\nPlease Note: We are encouraging 
 participants to sign up for the entire session if possible. If there are o
 nly a few dates you can make in the session\, please indicate your availab
 ility during registration. Signing up for a session helps the residents se
 e familiar faces and helps to ensure participation in our playgroup. We se
