Through simple\, eng aging activities children have the opportunity to learn patience and respe ct for older adults\, how joy is contagious\, and to build social skills w hile interacting with people of different ages and abilities.\nThe relatio nships that grow through these playgroups make this experience so meaningf ul. By participating regularly\, children and residents have the chance to become familiar with one another and look forward to seeing each other ea ch month. Our grandfriends truly delight in the smiles and energy our chil dren bring from just being themselves.\nThis project is also hosted in col laboration with Lake Country Mom Movement offering a coffee shop meet-up a nd short walk to and from the assisted living facility.
