s \nOur playgroup will provide an opportunity to children\, parents and a

and friendly environment. We will open with a hello song to break the ice
and introduce ourselves to the group. Then we will all work together crea
ting inspirational posters that will bring joy and comfort to children goi
ng through cancer treatments at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Each f
amily will also take turns handing out lemonade to Hamilton House resident
s in support of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. \n\nWhat is Alex’s
Lemonade Stand ? Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (
ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of 4-year-old Alexandra
“Alex” Scott\, who was fighting cancer and wanted to raise money to fi
nd cures for all children with cancer. By the time Alex passed away at the
age of 8\, she had raised $1 million. Since then\, the Foundation bearing
her name has evolved into a worldwide fundraising movement and the larges
t independent childhood cancer charity in the U.S. ALSF is a leader in fun
ding pediatric cancer research projects across the globe and providing pro
grams to families affected by childhood cancer. For more information\, vis
it AlexsLemonade.org.\nImpact\nIntergenerational playgroups boost the soci
al and emotional health for everyone involved by fostering empathy in chil
dren\, reducing isolation in seniors and strengthening a sense of belongin
