Kinship Community Food Center (Kinship) provides fresh an d local food to those in need through their Hoop Houses. The food goes dir ectly to Kinship and is then donated to families throughout our area.\n\nA ctivities\nKids and families will help prepare Hoop Houses for the gardeni ng season! Activities may include shoveling\, moving dirt\, planting seeds \, and all things related to general maintenance of the site. There will a lso be storytime!\nPurpose\nTeach our kids about food insecurity in our lo cal community and how they can help. Plus a little gardening and physical activity is healthy too!\n\nWhen &\; Where\nSaturday\, April 26 from 9- 11 a.m..\nThe “hoop houses” are located at the Maglio Tomato Building\ , 4287 N Port Washington Road\, Milwaukee\, WI 53212. Please park in the lot on the North side of the building and walk through the fence to the bi g “hoop houses.”\n\nRegistration Information\nParticipants: Max 15 fam ilies/small groups\nAges: All ages are welcome\, you can even wear your ba by!\nCost: Free\nAttire: Please wear weather-proof shoes and gloves you ca n work in\, tie your hair back/wear a hat\, and dress to get a little dirt y. Perhaps bring water and whatever your family might need during the two- hour event.
