DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nDeliver a free\, hot-and-hearty\, ready-to-eat m
 eal to low-income seniors in Milwaukee on Thanksgiving day. Community Proj
 ects for Seniors Holiday Meal Program delivers meals on holidays\, includi
 ng Easter\, Christmas\, and Thanksgiving to approximately 4\,000 low-incom
 e seniors living in subsidized apartment buildings.\nA kid-designed holida
 y placemat is delivered with each meal. Click here if your family would li
 ke to join us in making placemats as well!  \nIndividuals who sign up fo
 r a meal usually don’t have family in the area (or at all)\, don’t hav
 e a place to go for the holidays (or access to transportation)\, can’t e
 asily walk or drive (due to weather and/or a disability)\, can’t afford 
 to buy a holiday meal or find it physically challenging to cook. Meal reci
 pients report that they love their holiday meals\; not just the yummy food
 \, but also the loving experience volunteers provide them.\n\nActivities\n
 Step 1: One adult volunteer must register and attend a Volunteer Orientati
 on Session with Community Projects for Seniors. Register here.\nStep 2: Im
 mediately following orientation\, call Jefferey Hansen\, Executive Directo
 r\, and tell him to put your family on the list to deliver meals. Let him 
 know that you are with Kids Impact Community. He will ask for basic contac
 t information in order to match you with an appropriate route that is not 
 too far from home. His phone number will be shared at orientation.\nStep 3
 : You will be given a specific time on Thanksgiving  to pick up your meal
 s at a local south side school (likely Oak Creek or Franklin). The ready-t
 o-eat meals will be loaded into your car. You will then drive to the assig
 ned apartment building where your family will deliver the meals to each re
 gistered senior on the list. Some of the seniors may wish to chat and enga
 ge! Bring warm smiles and sunshine along with the meals!\n\nImpact\nYour k
 ids will create human connections\, help fight loneliness\, and build comm
 unity by brightening the lives of older adults who need some extra love.\n
 When &amp\; Where\nThe Volunteer Orientation will be held at Community Pro
 jects for Seniors: 3073 S. Chase Ave.\, #210\, Milwaukee\, WI 53207\nOrien
 tation dates include:\n\n\n 	- Saturday\, Oct. 18 at 10 am\n 	- Wednesday\
 , Oct. 22 at 4 pm\n 	- Saturday\, Nov. 8 at 10 a.m.\n\nOn Thanksgiving Day
 :\nThursday\, November 27\n\nDelivery volunteers need to be available from
  9:15 a.m. - 1 p.m.\n\nYour family will be given a specific pickup time pr
 ior to Thanksgiving. Pick up the meals at a local south side school (likel
 y Oak Creek or Franklin)\, then drive to the assigned Senior Housing Apart
