DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nCommunity Projects for Seniors Holiday Meal Prog
 ram delivers free\, hot\, and hearty\, ready-to-eat meals on holidays incl
 uding Easter\, Christmas\, and Thanksgiving to approximately 4\,000 low-in
 come seniors living in subsidized apartment buildings. A kid-designed holi
 day placemat is delivered with each meal!\nIndividuals who sign up for a m
 eal usually don’t have family in the area (or at all)\, don’t have a p
 lace to go for the holidays (or access to transportation)\, can’t easily
  walk or drive (due to weather and/or a disability)\, can’t afford to bu
 y a holiday meal or find it physically challenging to cook. Meal recipient
 s report that they love their holiday meals\; not just the yummy food\, bu
 t also the loving experience volunteers provide them.\nThis is where our k
 ids come in! This is a great opportunity for families of all ages as well 
 as large groups of kids through Boy Scouts\, Girl Scouts\, classrooms\, sp
 orts teams\, etc.\n\nActivities\nHave your child decorate a spring-themed 
 paper placemat to be delivered with a meal on Easter Sunday to low-income 
 seniors in Milwaukee and throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Think flowers\
 , baby animals\, birds\, butterflies\, and sunshine! Be creative!\n\n\n 	\
 n\n 	1. Pick out a piece of paper. Whatever you have at home is great!\n(1
 1x17 paper is ideal\, but 8.5x11 works too!)\n 	2. Select your favorite me
 dium: sharpies\, crayons\, paints\, colored pencils\, etc.\n 	3. Feel free
  to add some bling: sequins\, puffy paint\, glitter glue\, etc. The sky is
  the limit!\n 	4. Consider adding a one-liner joke or an inspirational phr
 ase or word. Keep these positive and bright or humorous and fun! Bring the
  sunshine!!\n 	5. Ask your child to write their first name\, age\, and “
 Kids Impact Community” somewhere on their completed placemat.\n\n\n\nImp
 act\nYour kids will create human connections\, help fight loneliness\, and
  build community by brightening the lives of older adults who need some ex
