SUMMARY:Create Cancer Care Packages Intergenerational Service and Play
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nKIC families have the opportunity to provide som
e light to community members going through cancer treatments at Aurora Hea
lthcare Cancer Clinics. Unfortunately\, many families have been affected b
y cancer in one way or another. And one in every four patients diagnosed
with cancer in Wisconsin is treated at an Aurora Cancer Care—it is the l
argest cancer program in the state.\n\nActivities\nKids will work with res
idents in the memory care unit at Hamilton House to create Cancer Care Kit
s together.\n\nDuring the playgroup time\, your kids will have a blast cre
ating a kit that will bring joy and comfort to a person going through a di
fficult journey through cancer treatment. Our playgroup will provide an op
portunity for children\, parents\, and assisted living residents to intera
ct and play with each other in a relaxed\, friendly\, playful\, organized
environment.\nImpact\nIntergenerational playgroups give children a true in
 ter-generational experience while learning patience\, kindness\, and how t
o make new friends. Children will develop awareness and relationships with
members of the community they would otherwise not meet. \n\nOur friends a
t Hamilton House benefit tremendously from the interaction with our childr
en. Residents in the memory care unit of Hamilton House will have a chance
to be around our energetic and humorous littles and offer their love and
gentle care for them. All the participants in this group will get to use t
heir unique talents to bring cheer to patients in Aurora Healthcare Cancer
Clinics. The patients at Aurora Healthcare will be provided with some bas
ic necessities and the knowledge that they are not alone.\nWhen &amp\; Whe
