SUMMARY:Cooking for Good for Homes of Hope Street
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nThis meaningful service project will fill both h
 earts and bellies! Kids will work side by side with their caregivers at Ha
 ppy Place Cooking Space to prepare a delicious meal for residents of Homes
  of Hope Street\, a transitional housing facility that supports individual
 s and families as they work toward stability and hope. The meal will be sh
 ared at their weekly family dinner\, a time set aside for connection\, enc
 ouragement\, and community.\nActivities\nWe will kick off our time togethe
 r with a snack and a story to introduce the importance of food and communi
 ty in an engaging way.\n\nThen\, we will put on aprons and get cooking! Gu
 ided by teaching staff at Happy Place Cooking Space\, this project is desi
 gned for young children and their caregivers to work together using kid-fr
 iendly tools to make a simple enchilada bake. Your child will learn so man
 y great cooking skills\, and you will all walk away with a great recipe to
  try at home.\n\nWe are asking each family to bring one 8 oz. container of
  sour cream. The kids love having something to contribute! (But\, if you c
 annot - please let us know. We understand!)\nImpact\nThis project is desig
 ned for young children and their caregivers to experience the joy of givin
 g back in a hands-on way. Together\, we’ll chop\, stir\, and create some
 thing nourishing that reminds residents that they are cared for and not al

 en in Cedarburg. They are generously lending their facility and expertise
