 family who will be attending this event. (This is not a drop off event.)\n
 \nJoin Kids Impact Community for an all-ages\, family-friendly morning of 
 learning and service in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day\, includ
 ing a special guest speaker from Mr. Bob’s Under the Bridge\, story time
 \, music\, movement\, and various on-site service projects. Together we wi
 ll bring MLK's National Day of Service to life in a way that even the youn
 gest children can understand.\nAs a way to further engage your kids before
  and during the project\, we invite your family to pick out and purchase i
 tems to help fill our winter hygiene kits and on-the-go breakfast bags for
  Milwaukee residents living with housing insecurity. A sign-up will be inc
 luded in your confirmation email. Bringing an item is not required to atte
 nd and participate.\n\nActivities\nOn this National Day of Service\, we wi
 ll engage our children as dynamic and change-making citizens. After gather
 ing together to learn about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.\, we will read a st
 ory and have an all-ages discussion about housing insecurity with our gues
 t speaker from Mr. Bob’s Under the Bridge. Then\, we will get to work on
  a variety of service projects.\nAll Ages\n\n\n 	\n\n 	Decorate care cards
  and assemble on-the-go winter hygiene kits\n 	Embellish paper bags with p
 ositive messages and put together on-the-go breakfast bags\n 	Read picture
  books in the book corner about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other big i
 deas\n 	Create a take-home craft as a reminder of MLK Day\n 	Participate i
 n additional service project stations that capture your interest\n\n\n\nEV
 ENT FULL: Kids ages 9-12: Leadership Opportunity\nThis year\, we need juni
 or leaders to help with set-up the day before and assist attendees at a va
 riety of project stations the day of the event.\nKids ages 12+\nAs a speci
 al extension to our program\, we invite kids ages 12+ and their caregivers
  to distribute the assembled winter hygiene kits and on-the-go breakfast b
 ags with Mr. Bob’s Under the Bridge on Feb. 3 or Feb. 10 - register toda
 y.\n\nImpact\nChildren will learn they can be true leaders and that their 
 little hands can make a big impact on others by spreading Dr. King’s mes

  gather at Kosciuszko Park each Saturday morning to serve Milwaukee reside
 nts living with housing insecurity. They provide necessities such as food\
 , hygiene items\, clothing\, and access to bathe in a mobile shower traile
 r. Perhaps just as important\, the volunteers offer fellowship and emotion
 al support while creating a sense of community alongside warm coffee and s
