DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nHunger is a pressing challenge in our community.
  In Wisconsin\, 1 in 8 children experiences hunger\, and The Dept. of Publ
 ic Instruction estimates that there are about 11\,000 children who suffer 
 from food insecurity in Waukesha County alone.\nActivities\nJoin Sussex Ou
 treach Services for a meaningful storytime centered on food insecurity\, c
 urated for our young changemakers (ages 0–12). \n\n 	- Storytime – Chi
 ldren and caregivers will enjoy a read-aloud. \n 	- Service Project – To
 gether\, families will assemble sack lunches that include:\n\n 	- A sandwi
 ch (meat and cheese slices\, no condiments\, wrapped in a plastic bag) \n 
 	- A piece of fruit (orange/clementine\, banana\, or apple) \n 	- Chips\n 
 	- A treat\n 	- An inspirational note or care card\n\n\n\nImpact\nThis pro
 ject will support residents across the Hamilton School District who are st
 ruggling with hunger. Your children will learn about food insecurity in an
  age-appropriate way and that their small hands and big hearts can make a

 Outreach Services is the social ministry arm of the Cooperating Churches o
 f Sussex (CCOS). They served 452 families\, 1079 unique individuals in 202
 4. They help their clients with food\, emergency financial assistance\, pr
 eventive health programming\, resources and referrals.  They serve famili
 es and individuals in the Hamilton School District\, which includes Sussex
 \, the Village of Lisbon\, Lannon\, and parts of Merton\, Lisbon\, Butler\
