DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nIn honor of Martin Luther King Junior's birthday
 \, help kids in our community celebrate their birthday! Most kids look for
 ward to their birthday all year. However\, for the more than 2\,000 childr
 en in foster care in Milwaukee County\, and hundreds of families strugglin
 g with addiction\, birthdays are often forgotten. In times of upheaval\, y
 our family can spread joy to other kids on their birthdays by donating kit
 s filled with everything they need to celebrate their special day.\n\nAll 
 birthday kits will be distributed by Meta House\, a nonprofit focused on e
 nding the generational cycle of addiction by healing women and strengtheni
 ng families\, and Kids Matter\, an organization that supports kinship and 
 foster children.\nActivities\nGo shopping with your kids! Pick a theme and
  pack a birthday bag with the necessary party supplies: cake mix\, frostin
 g\, party decor\, a party hat\, a funny birthday card\, and a small gift. 
 We’ll send you a complete list of supplies and suggestions following reg
 istration.\nImpact\nKids will learn how to help support other kids going t
 hrough a difficult time. They will gain an understanding of how a small ac
 t of giving can have a big impact.\nWhen &amp\; Where\nDrop off completed 
 birthday kits anytime between Jan. 20-31 at a KIC leader home in Bayside\,
  Lannon\, Waukesha\, or Whitefish Bay. Addresses will be provided followin

 atter Inc.: Kids Matter is an organization that supports kinship and foste
 r children. Nearly 100 children in Milwaukee County are removed from their
  homes each month because they are deemed unsafe\, according to Children
 ’s Wisconsin. Kids Matter Inc. believes that every child needs someone i
 n their corner. Through staff and volunteers\, Kids Matter makes sure that
  children and their foster families get the support they need. Learn more

 working to end the generational cycle of addiction by healing women and st
 rengthening families through residential\, outpatient\, and recovery commu
 nity programs. Their programs go beyond helping women achieve lasting sobr
