SUMMARY:Be a Park Ranger at Urban Ecology Center
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nThe Urban Ecology Center fosters\, maintains\, a
 nd protects urban natural spaces at three different locations throughout t
 he Milwaukee area. Join KIC kids of all ages as an Urban Ecology Center Pa
 rk Ranger and help clean up the parks and trails at the Menonomnee Valley 
 location.\nActivities\nWe will kick off our morning with a story time and 
 discussion around the importance of working together to help keep our natu
 ral areas healthy. We will talk about plastics and the impact of our trash
  that makes its way to nature.\nThen we will hit the trails of the Menomon
 ee Valley armed with grabbers\, gloves\, and garbage bags to collect as mu
 ch trash as we can find. All our young volunteers will receive a scavenger
  hunt checklist. Let’s see how many items we can check off! Finally\, we
  will take a look at what we find to determine if any of it is recyclable.
 \nIt is so important to ensure that these beautiful spaces remain a safe r
 etreat for the plants\, animals\, insects\, and humans that frequent them.
 \n\nImpact\nThis active\, hands-on project will enable your kids to make a
  real difference in our local natural areas. They will understand the impa
 ct of litter and the importance of protecting our natural areas.\n\nWhen &
