DESCRIPTION:REGISTER NOW\nOur children will be assembling homemade lasagnas
  for neighbors in our community who are going through challenging times an
 d could use a little extra support. This activity is about more than prepa
 ring a meal—it’s about kindness\, connection\, and learning the value 
 of helping others. As the kids work together\, they’ll be creating not o
 nly delicious food\, but also a reminder to our neighbors that they are ca
 red for and not alone.\n\nActivities\nAt this event\, we will start by hav
 ing story time with an age-appropriate book discussing kindness and helpin
 g our community read by Senora Betty from Bilingual Storytime MKE. She wil
 l lead us through 30 minutes of fun activities.\nThen\, we will work to as
 semble lasagnas for community members who requested a homemade meal throug
 h Lasagna Love. After we are done with this\, the children will make Easte
 r placemats for Community Projects for Seniors to be delivered with meals 
 to seniors in our community. Cookies will be provided by a local bakery\, 
 The Witches Cottage.\n\nImpact\nBy helping make homemade lasagnas for comm
 unity members in need\, children will experience the joy of giving back in
  a hands-on and meaningful way. They’ll learn the value of teamwork as t
 hey collaborate in the kitchen\, practice important life skills like follo
 wing directions and measuring ingredients\, and gain confidence by seeing 
 the impact of their efforts.\nMost importantly\, they’ll discover how sm
 all acts of kindness—like preparing a comforting meal—can make a big d
 ifference in someone’s day. This event helps children build empathy\, re
 sponsibility\, and a deeper connection to their community\, all while havi
 ng fun and creating something delicious.\n\nWhen &amp\; Where\nWednesday\,

 All ages are welcome\, lasagna assembly best suited for 3+\nCost: To keep 
 cost of the event within budget\, we are asking that you bring a 16 ounce 
 bag of mozzarella cheese if you are able to do so.\nMaterials: Please brin
 g a mixing bowl\, cooking spoon\, and spatula to use. If you would like to
  bring an apron\, feel free to do so. Hair nets and food safe gloves will

 ts come to life. However\, we understand illness and emergencies do come u

 feed families\, spread kindness\, and strengthen communities. Through thei
 r neighbor-to-neighbor movement\, they connect volunteer lasagna chefs who
  want to help with individuals and families in need\, providing home-cooke
 d lasagnas made with love. They focus on removing barriers to asking for h
 elp\, ensuring dignity and support\, and delivering kindness without judgm
 ent or qualifications. Whether someone is facing financial challenges\, em
 otional overwhelm\, medical issues\, or any other hardship\, Lasagna Love 
 strives to provide relief\, hope\, and connection through the simple yet p

 ojects for Seniors strives to brighten the everyday lives of low-income se
 nior citizens residing in subsidized apartment buildings through programs 
 that fight loneliness\, reduce social isolation\, create human connections
