Tie Blanket Comfort Kits for Great Lakes Hospice
April 1 - April 18
Kids Impact Community is working with Great Lakes Hospice to create Comfort Blankets for their patients. This is a wonderful project to work together with your family by making a tie blanket together and donating it to Great Lakes Hospice, where the individuals there will enjoy the warm and comforting feeling of a homemade blanket during what is a difficult final stage in their life. Kids Impact Community will provide all the materials needed; we just need helping hands to tie the blankets together with love! https://greatlakeshospice.com/
Purpose: Families will be able to work together to create a beautiful blanket for a special person who is at Great Lakes Hospice and share their love in a comforting way!
Impact: Kids will be able to share their understanding of what a comfortable blanket means to them and know they will be sharing in a similar comfort with the unique tie blankets made by KIC kids!
Activities: Once you have signed your family up to participate in this project, you will receive an email indicating the address that the tie blanket kits can be picked up from. These kits include two same size pieces of fabric for the project, as well as step by step directions for making the blanket. When your family is finished making the blanket, you will return the blanket to the same address that you picked it up from and it will be delivered to the residents at Great Lakes Hospice!
When and Where: Please pick up the tie blanket kits between April 1- April 11. The completed blankets can be returned any time before April 18. The address for pick up and drop off will be given once registration is completed.
