Cloud 9 Recycled Art Zoom and Share
April 24 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
Let’s go to the Cloud 9 Workshop Art Studio with Ms. Kelcey from the comfort of your own home! Ms. Kelcey will guide us on a recycled art adventure — making a bag out of an old t-shirt and a pop-up card! We will share the bag and card with customers at Greater Goods MKE – a pay-what-you-can produce store.
Purpose: Children will learn two creative ways to recycle items from home to create “new to you” treasures. Children will reuse and recycle AND share their items with others in our community.
Impact: Children participating will learn a new skill or two that they will use in the future to recycle household items. They will also show compassion by sharing a shopping bag and an uplifting note with shoppers at Greater Goods MKE.
Activities: We will have an action-packed hour! Kids will create a pop-up card, make a t-shirt bag, read two stories and tour Greater Goods MKE. We ask that a grown-up sits side-by-side with their child(ren) during the session to provide guidance.
When and where: Saturday, April 24th at 9:00 AM in your own home! We will virtually enter Cloud 9 Workshop and do a tour of Greater Goods MKE. A Zoom link will be shared with participating families. After the event, families can drop off the completed bag and card to Greater Goods MKE (5205 W. North Ave. 53208) or to a Whitefish Bay home location (details will be sent to participating families).
